I'm drinking this, but it isn't as good as all of the folks who say it is good says it is. Am I doing it wrong?
EDIT: After a half bottle, I think it is getting better.
EDit EdiT: Full bottl - ya, is gud.

The next ont he agenda is ssome Old Crow Reserve. The only sold those in 1.5L jugs, but considering it is half of what I normal average per bottle, I've heard great things. This might be a life changing experiece.

No worries...you don't grow up in the Rust Belt in the shadow of the D without having been to at least 5 Thorogood concerts. Tis a right of passage :)

Do you have any reservations about that? A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

It may be sacrilege, but I actually prefer him to Seger.

Sir (if I may call you such)...reservations are not required at this Bourbon-esque feast.
But srsly, I'll know more when I get up to try some...I've had Old Crow (non Reserve, non ironically) and all that ended up happening was that I broke a banister and my friend threw up on the hooves of a police horse. An extra year of aging should smooth it out right?

The extra year would work fine if it i kept in the same "aging" glass bottle. However, I've never need it last as year so the new bottle has to age all over again. I've afraid your new bottle will be no smoother.

Well, the regular Old Crow gets 3 years in the barrel, the Reserve gets 4. From all the reviews (who knew that they reviewed these???) the Reserve is a lot smoother for the extra mellowing done in the storehouse. I'll report back when I crack it open.
